
Canmore, Alberta –Executive Chef, Stefan Mahon and the culinary team at Silvertip Golf Resort have been awarded the title of Canmore’s Iron Chef, for the second year in a row.
Presenting a “Dynamite Burger” to 500+ guests last Saturday night, Chef Mahon rose to the challenge of creating a flavourful mini burger that must also contain beer in the ingredients.
The mini burger, a 2oz Silvertip beef patty was dressed with avocado, cucumber wasabi aioli, fresh tomato and a large beer battered tempura shrimp. A mango skewer aided in keeping this towering taste sensation all together between sesame buns.
Chef Mahon is cooking up new mouth watering ideas for the upcoming Canmore’s Best Burger competition, such as the Caribbean Cheese Burger and the Mountain Burger. Be sure to head to Stoney’s Bar and Grill at Silvertip to try them soon.

- One large beer battered shrimp tempura
- Sesame bun
- Dressed with avocado on the bottom
- Cucumber aioli on the top
- A slice of fresh tomato.
